How to Buy Cheap Vertical Blinds?(Sheer Vertical Blinds)

Vertical blinds are great for sliding glass doors and wide windows that open from the side. These blinds can open to the right or left--or half to each side. You'll find blinds in a wide range of materials, from vinyl to aluminum, but the price tag varies, too. Blinds with vinyl vanes are among the least expensive, followed by fabric, perforated flexible vinyl and faux wood.

STEP 1
Consider vinyl blinds if you're on a budget and looking for something good for kids and pets. Like all blinds, vinyl ones block sun and provide insulation, and they're also easy to clean--think children's fingerprints, splattered pudding or spaghetti and general grime from your golden retriever. These blinds are some of the cheapest window coverings you can find.

STEP 2
For a little more money, think about purchasing fabric blinds. They offer an elegant look and let in more light than vinyl blinds. They come with weights to prevent them from curling, and they're often used in bedrooms and formal dining rooms.

STEP 3
Look at perforated blinds made of flexible vinyl, which are a step up in price from fabric blinds. The tiny perforations allow light in and let you see the outdoors. These go well with more modern architecture and decor.

STEP 4
Investigate faux wood blinds--they start at about the same price as the perforated ones. They look a lot like wood, but they're made of vinyl, so cleaning is easy. They cost much less than real wood, and moisture doesn't affect them.
