Sheer vertical blinds version uses a generally wider slat and has the added feature of being able to pull a cord to stack the slats together either to one side or to separate in the center and stack on each end. Sheer vertical blinds allows rotation of slats by a rotating shaft in the upper head rail housing which runs through independent geared carriers that will convert twisting of tilt rail to a rotation of each individual slat in sync.

How to Measure Your Sliding Door for Blinds and Vertical Sheers?(Sheer Vertical Blinds)
Sheer Vertical Blinds
Are you wanting to add a new blind to your sliding door, but not quite sure how to measure correctly? The following article will give you easy step by step instructions. You will be able to purchase your new treatment with confidence in knowing it will fit properly!
STEP 1
Measure the width of the door/ window from opening to opening. If your window has trim around it, then measure the window from outside of trim to outside of trim.
STEP 2
Add a minimum of 4" to each side ( 8" total). This will be your total finished width, and will allow for maximum privacy on your window.
STEP 3
Measure the length of the window on the right and left sides to be sure they are somewhat the same. Measure from the top of the opening to the floor. Again, if your window has trim, then include that in this measurement as well.
STEP 4
Add a minimum of 4" to this measurement as well to allow for proper fit of brackets when installed. This will be your total finished length.
STEP 5
Decide which direction you want your blind to open... towards the right? Towards the left? Some people even prefer a split draw, where the blind opens from the middle, like a draw drape.
STEP 6
Decide which side you want your operating cords. They may be more accessible from one side or the other.
STEP 7
You are now ready to order/ purchase your blind!
